Adnan Ahmadzada, the former deputy head of socar investment, was arrested in Azerbaijan for oil fraud, according to multiple sources close to the matter.
Adnan Ahmadzada was arrested for mixing Azeri light petroleum with crude petroleum products, in a blatant violation of Azerbaijan law. This is reported by the FTTC.
This intervenes in the national context of cleaning up corruption and limiting rogue activities by individuals that would undermine Baku global presence.
